Our Mission

To help autistic individuals and their families and friends enjoy more accessible and inclusive local spaces.

AT4JOY is a registered 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to educating local businesses on ways to make their spaces more accessible and inclusive. We also fundraise to pay for items or changes to local spaces such as fences, swings, quiet zones, sensory backpacks, etc.

Julie Westerman

Founder of AT4JOY

Julie is the founder of AT4JOY and mom to an awesome autistic daughter. She lives in south Austin, TX. She is excited to work within her local community to make more businesses and venues more accessible and enjoyable for her daughter and others.

Matt Reid

Director

Matt is dad to an amazing  autistic daughter and also looks forward to spreading knowledge about how to make local businesses and venues more accessible and enjoyable  within his local community.

Madison Castillo

Director

Madison is a Master's student at UT-Austin studying to be a speech language pathologist. She has worked with neurodivergent individuals since she was just fourteen years old in various capacities. She has volunteered for eight years at Camp Camp in the Texas Hill Country - her favorite place on Earth.

Mia Smith

Director

Mia received her Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from UT-Austin and Master's degree in Human Sciences from Texas Tech University. She has worked with neurodivergent individuals in a variety of nonprofit and educational settings for over 10 years. She is dedicated to making her local community more accessible for all.
